Loma Linda University Medical Center

Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) is a health science university established in 1905 by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. This is a faith-based, mission-oriented institution with worldwide health care involvement in developing countries. The medical center serves an area roughly equal to 25% of the State of California. As a tertiary care facility, LLUMC commonly treats patients with unusual or complicated medical conditions. There is an active medicine service, cancer center, intensive care unit, and coronary care unit.

Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Hospital

The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a 560-bed facility located in the city of Loma Linda, just a few blocks from Loma Linda University Medical Center. It is one of the top 50 employers in the Inland Empire with over 2,100 employees that serve over 60,000 veterans. The patient population provides a valuable opportunity for residents to participate in diverse patient care experiences through inpatient, outpatient and home care programs. The VA residency experience creates a solid foundation in training competent, lifelong learning physicians. 

Riverside University Health System Medical Center

Riverside University Health Systems Medical Center (RUHSMC) is a 400 bed hospital in Moreno Valley, CA that has provided care in Riverside County for over 100 years. As RUHSMC is the designated county hospital, residents are exposed to a significant amount of unusual and interesting pathology. RUHS also provides an opportunity for IM residents to be trained in invasive procedures through a procedure team elective attended by the chief residents. This site embodies our mission to provide medical care for an underprivileged population.

Social Action Community Health System

(SACHS Clinic)

SAC Health System is a non-profit community healthcare corporation that provides general internal medicine as well as subspecialty specific medicine to the Inland Empire. Their clinics provide affordable health care services for all, but primarily serve uninsured patients and their families. They accept Medi-Cal and Medicare, and offer many federal, state and local programs to those who qualify. For those who are ineligible for programs, there is a sliding fee scale based upon income.
